No Greater Love

The beauty of God surrounds us.
He sends His angels to sing to us while we sleep.
God’s has His loving arms around us.
They are like no other.
Feel the peace of God.
Through the trials of life may seem difficult,
We have a peace that surpasses all of mankind’s understanding.
We shouldn’t trade it for anything in this world.
Man’s love will come and go in our lifetime.
People may forsake us.
Corporate America may abandon us.
Spouses may leave us.
Yet, God’s love remains stronger than ever.
There is nothing as majestic as His love.
There is no greater love.
Even thou we don’t deserve it, He loves us ever more.
He accepts us in spite of our sins and failures.
He doesn’t judge us according to our past iniquities.
He loves us deeper than any human being could ever love us.
He reaches within our very souls.
His compassion is to no end.
What more should we ask for.
God carries us.
Thou, this natural world may seem to be caving in
With God, the Father, The Son, and the Holy Ghost we win.
Guided by Faith, not giving up Hope and walking in Love
we are victorious.
Christ gave us the victory when He took the cross.
Through Christ we have a majestic and beautiful relationship
with our father.
He lies down with us when we sleep. He hears our thoughts and knows our dreams.
He takes our heart in His hands and caresses it.
We can trust Him; He won’t break our hearts; He won’t lie to us; He won’t leave us.

God’s beauty is beyond imagination.
The colors of God’s kingdom are explicit; there is nothing in life that is more beautiful; imagine God opening up the heavens and showing you an array of purples, pinks, yellows, oranges, reds, blues, and rubies jumping out at you.

Why should we allow life to make us blue? God’s love is true.
No matter what life brings our way, life is a precious gift that should be Cherished each day.
Tomorrow is not promised. Enjoy the gift. Cherish those
that you love.
In spite of circumstances, help those in need. Give when you don’t have it to give.
Love when you don’t feel like loving. Persevere when you don’t feel like persevering.
Obey when you don’t feel like obeying. Believe when you don’t feel like believing.
Have faith that all things are possible; with God all things
are possible.
God gave us the gift of life. He gave us His unconditional love.
Let our soul prosper for the glory of our king.
Shout praises of how triumphant and magnificent He is.
God loved us so much that He sent His son to keep us from perishing.
From dust we come and to dust we shall eventually return.

What good is this life, if we choose to live in strife?
Rich or poor, Jesus is the door to eternal life.
There is no greater love.
Search our hearts dear Lord, forgive us of our trespasses, for we know not we do.

Thank you for your love that is forever true.

Be Encouraged. Life is like an ocean.

It was on my heart today, to tell everyone to be encouraged. Life can be like an ocean sometimes. One day the sky is blue and beautiful. Next thing you know the dark clouds start rolling in and the sea that was once calm is now a sea of rough waves and dips.

I read this recently. “When the sea becomes troubled, the ship pays no regard unto anyone. It just rocks from side to side. If the children are asleep, if the sick are in pain, if the family is languishing, if the aged are convalescing in their reclining chairs, if death summons has entered, it makes no difference; just stay on board. Remember this is a sailor’s life. ”What it means to Pray Through.” By E.J. Dabney.

No matter what we go through God is the captain of our ship. Not only is He the captain of our ship, He is the maker of the sea. There will never be a better captain than our heavenly father. Unlike some captains, God doesn’t abandon His ship. Eventually those rough waves will diminish into a sea of calmness looking up to a blue sky once again. Stay on board folks and let God do His work. Praise the Lord! The sea is calm once again.

I have a quick testimony. I spoke to a beautiful group of women at my church a few weeks ago about not looking at our circumstances but look to God. Stand on His word and praise Him through those rough times as well as the good times. About two to three days after speaking to the women, I had so many crazy things happen in my private life ranging from a hot water heater breaking and flooding my neighbor’s townhome right while they were in the middle of buyers looking at their property. That was only the start of many things that happened that week. I must admit it got a little challenging for me. My neighbor was the one who gave me the book I quoted from What it means to pray through by E.J. Dabney who has since gone on to be with the Lord. Not only was I blessed with that book which is one of the most beautiful, powerful, anointed books I have read in a long time but God worked everything out for His glory.

I am so thankful for God and all the wonderful people that I have been blessed with in my life time. Remember what Satan means for evil God will turn it around and work it for His good. "Joy does come in the morning." Trust Him, Praise Him, And Glorify Him. We are overcome by our testimonies which give glory to our God. No one ever said ministry work would be easy, but praise God we have Him to see us through. Have a blessed week everyone and remember just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not there. It's called faith.  Jesus loves you.

Are you in the Center of God's will?

What does it mean to be in the Center of God’s will? Have you ever really thought about that question? I hear so many people say, I want God’s will in my life.  Many people say they want to be in the center of God’s will; however, when the storms come rolling in, many panic and want to jump ship. To be in God’s will doesn’t mean everything is always going to be easy. What it does mean is that God has you. That’s good enough for me. He tells us in His word, "I will never leave nor forsake you".  (Hebrews 13:5).
When I was younger, trying to do things my own way, I ran into disappointment, disappointment and more disappointment. I still run into disappointment from time to time; however, it’s a joyous disappointment because I know I am in the center of God’s will. I would rather be disappointment in the center of God’s will than doing my own thing and become disappointed. It’s like a child who wants a new bike, but the parents say no. The child was disappointed about not getting that bike, so he goes out and steals a bike. He gets caught and is put in a juvenile home. Rather than accepting the no from his parents, he goes outside of their parental guidance and tries to do his own thing. Now he is suffering the consequences of His actions.

When we are in the center of God’s will He knows what is best for us and the end result will be victorious. Whereas, when we are out there doing our own thing, the end result may result in a tragic outcome. The good news is that Jesus loves us and will help us get back on the right track, if we ask Him, but why go through that, if you don’t have to.

Jesus, the son of God, our savior even had a moment of exceeding sorrow. “Then He said to them. “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.” He went a little farther and fell on the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what you will.” (Mark: 14:34-36).

Imagine where we would be if Jesus had said to His father “you know what I know it’s your will, but I can’t do this.” It’s too hard. I don’t want to die. Personally, I can’t even imagine that for a second. We would all be lost.

Lord, “let your will be done, not mine.” That is so easy to say but is its not so easy to do?  For me it’s not easy, but it’s the best thing I have ever done in my life. It’s worthwhile, because I know that if God said it, He will do it.

For those of you are facing challenges because you said Lord, “Let thy will be done” know that there isn’t any challenge greater than God. God leads us and guides us all the way. He told us in His word “In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:6)

Faith is the substance of all things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen. God is beyond our circumstances. What we see are circumstances. What does God word say?  His word says if I be for you, who can be against you? His word says, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and those whose hope is in the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its root by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit. “(Jeremiah 17: 7-8).

Trust God. Everything we go through is for God’s glory. He has you. He has me. It’s been four months since my lay off. Do I have challenges? Yes I do? Am I stressed? I can honestly say no, I’m not. I learned to cast my cares on the Lord. I believe God will do what He said He would do. It’s that simple. I am in the center of His will. I don’t doubt that for a moment. He is leading and directing my path. This is not about me. We are overcome by our testimonies.

There is a song titled "Say what you need to say."  I say that God is who He said He is.  I say that God sent His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."  I say that God will never leave nor forsake us, because He said He wouldn't.

God's word is good enough for me.  His word keeps me in the center of His will not stressed out by circumstances, walking by faith and knowing that my help cometh from Him.  I can't think of a better place to be.  Can you?

Improv "Blind Date" Don't Settle for Less "

http://www.anointedgifts.net/

DON’T SETTLE FOR LESS

I don’t have to settle for less.
Because God wants to give me His best.

In God’s house there ain’t no shortage.
He will abundantly supply.
There is no lack.
So I don’t have to go back.

I don’t have to look through the garbage cans searching for a man.
Or break the Covenant rule.
Taking another’s woman’s husband as my tool.
When I get lonely, I know I’m never alone.
Because I have a wonderful God,
Who will never forsake or leave me.
That’s why I stay on my knees praying to God above,
To send me my true love.

Nothing is impossible for God.
I will never have to rob the garbage cans for yesterday’s left over’s.
I don’t have to stand in heartbreak’s sea or waddle in
Disappointment’s waters because I didn’t give my body and soul
For a story that can never be told.

If I wait on God with perseverance,
I will become the woman God has ordained me to be.
He will send me a man that He has prepared for me.

A man that has a heart after Him
That is gentle to the touch and knows how to love me
Because He loved God first.

So you see, we don’t have to settle for less.
In time if we wait God will give us His best.

Vision of two Valleys~ Which Valley are you living in?

While standing on a mountain, I saw two valleys.

The first valley was the Valley of Despair.

In the Valley of despair there was misery, pain, hopeless, devastation, depression, pride, plagues, poverty, greed, sickness, divination, grief, distress, agony, desolation, gloom, unhappiness, sadness, wretchedness, sorrow, misfortune, distress, worry, eternal damnation. I also saw fame, power, money, fortune, materialism and the selling of souls for the things of this world.

The ones that had sold their souls appeared to have everything. The people worshipped them. They wanted to be like them.  All of a sudden, a lighting bolt came out of nowhere and struck them.  Nothing was left but ashes and dirt.

The second Valley was the Valley of Hope.

In the Valley of hope, there was love, trust, faith, goodness, mercy, grace, protection, covering, rightness, provision, repentance, humility, redemption, deliverance, salvation, forgiveness, restoration, healing, prosperity, peace, happiness, fullness of joy, praise, fulfillment, completion, contentment, freedom, obedience, eternal life, and God’s word, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The people were humble; they were complete. The joy of the Lord was their strength. There was no worry or despair. They walked in faith, love and trust. There was a peace like I have never seen before. They worshipped God in fullness of joy through praise, singing and dancing. They spent time at the hem of His garment listening to Him, desiring to be like Him. Then a magnificent cloud ascended from the Heavens, and a man clothed in white appeared. The light went all throughout that valley. It was the most beautiful site I had ever seen. He caught the people up with him on the cloud and they disappeared into the heavens.

I cried for the people that had been struck by the lighting bolt.  My heart went out to them; but atlas it was too late.

The good news is that if you are reading this blog today, it's not too late to choose whom you will serve.  God never forces himself on us. The choice always remains up to us.

I went to a zuma exercise class yesterday with a very good friend of mine.  I must admit I’m not the most coordinated person in the world.  However, I didn’t let that stop me from trying the class. I had a lot of fun and burned many calories. We shouldn’t be afraid to try new things in life, as long as those things line up with what God is telling us to do.  God does new things everyday.  I am a living witness of new things.  Many people prosper in material possessions and there is nothing wrong with that; however, there is a problem when people began to worship material possessions instead of God. They are in jeopardy of loosing their soul.

"For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works." (Matthew 16:26-27)

God does desire that we prosper. "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospered. (3 John 1:2). Although God desires that we prosper it is also made clear in His word, "but seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." (Matthew 6:33)

What Foundation is your house built on?

Is your foundation built on solid ground or sinking sand?

Our trust should be in the Lord.  The things of this world are temporary.  God’s kingdom is eternal.

"God loved us so much that He sent His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great. (Luke 6:49)

What foundation is your house built on today? The house that I speak of is your soul?

I had the following dream a few weeks ago:

“ I was standing in line with several people that I have never seen before. They were having a discussion about God. Many were saying there wasn’t a God. I heard one lady say that God didn’t exist. In the midst of their conversation, ‘the earth began to shake violently. I could actually see the dust, particles, and building posts falling. I saw one woman go against a wall violently and disintegrate. People began to disappear one by one, as if they were being torn apart. The room continued to shake for what seemed like forever. I was calling on the name of Jesus while the shaking was taking place. I never stopped calling His name the entire time. It seemed as if the shaking would never stop.
When it finally stopped, I was the only one left. To my amazement, the building was still standing. I open a door and left out. Although, all the people were gone, the building didn’t fall with me in it. There was one little girl that had not been in the building on the outside. A woman came and took her away quickly. My thoughts were on my children.  The Lord assured me that my children were good.

I actually woke up in tears from the realness of that dream. I immediately began to pray. I shared the dream with two beautiful, anointed women and ministers of God.

The dream was interpreted as God is getting ready to shake some things up. But for those who have their houses, meaning our spiritual house built on solid foundations, we will be fine. Those who don’t have their houses build on solid foundation will disappear like a vapor into the night. They are here one day and gone the next.

God is a God of forgiveness, mercy and grace. “Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” (Isaiah 55: 6:7)

God is just to forgive us of our sins. “I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.” (Isaiah 45:25)

It’s not too late. Love is the most powerful gift in the universe. The Lord loves us. He doesn’t desire that any should perish. "Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.” (Matthew 18:14)

The Lord is calling us to repentance. “If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

So many people have tried to prove that the Bible is not real. However, it can’t be proven wrong. The bible is the true word of God. He gave it to us. We don’t have any excuses for not obeying Him. I pray that people will begin to pick it up and start reading it for themselves. As your read, pray and ask God for understanding of His word. He will give it to you.

BIBLE – BASIC INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE LEAVING EARTH.

We have already begun to witness the earth shaking in many parts of the world today. Many people have died. Only God knows when the earth will shake again. I pray that all of our houses are built on solid foundations.

How are you doing?

How is everyone doing today?  I pray that this note finds you all in good health, cheer and looking up.  I am facing some challenges; however, it's all good because I depend on the Lord to help me through them.  I use to wonder how in the world my mother could be 88 years old with no wrinkles.  My mother is not a worrier.  She knows how to cast her cares unto the Lord and not look back.  "Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.  Casting your care upon him for He cares for you."  (I Peter 5:6-7).   We can cast our cares upon Him, for He cares for us.  His burden is light and His yoke is easy.  "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." (Matthew 11:29-30).

I can honestly tell you that God keeps His word and takes every burden.  It doesn't matter how big or how small.  Give it to God and He will work it out.  I have a poem titled the "Catchers Mitt which will be uploaded to you tube within the next few days or so."  Check it out if you get the opportunity.  Remember, nothing is too big or too small for God. http://www.youtube.com/ (Dale Birdsong)

Do you feel God's Peace?

Hi everyone,

It's been a busy few weeks, I must say.  God is good.  Three beautiful kittens were left at my door step a few weeks ago.  Thank God I was able to find good homes for them.  I kept one and she is a doll.  I named her Snowball.  She loves to play and play and play.  Anyway, enough about me.   Listed below are some thoughts that I have about God's peace.  I find that the more time I spend with Him, the more He gives to me.  You can never beat God giving.
*****************************
God's Peace.

There is nothing in this world that compares to God’s peace.
When you have peace, you truly have everything.

Only God can give you peace in the midst of any situation.
Only God can smile down from heaven and take you to a place that no human eye has ever seen.
Only God can give you peace when everything around you seems to be
falling apart. People will be amazed that you are still standing.
God’s peace surpasses all of mankind’s understanding.

Those who keep their minds on Jesus Christ will have perfect peace. (Isaiah 26:3).

In the midst of my circumstances I have peace.
Years ago I didn’t fully understand what it meant to have true peace.
I have grown to understand the peace of God.
Peace is the calmness that stills the waters.

Jesus rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. (Matthew 8:24-26).

I stood on a mountain today and beheld the most beautiful site human eyes could ever behold.  The mountain that I stood on today was a mountain of inward beauty.

It was my mind connected to the spirit of God.
I felt the peace of God.

God in all His majesty, His wonders, His splendors allowed me to feel
His peace.

How can anyone doubt that God is real?
God loved us so much that He sent His spirit to dwell inside of us.

How can anyone believe that the spirit of God does not exist?

Some say it’s their conscious.
Others say something told me not to do that.
God uses the Holy Spirit to direct our path.

Our spirit comes from God.
He leads us, He guides us, and He directs us.

The more we yield to His voice, the more He yields to us.
As we draw near to Him, He draws near to us.

God is our hope, our joy, our refuge, our deliver, our sanctifier, our creator, our redeemer, our protector, our provision, our peace, our beginning and our end.   God is everything.

Should this world fall from beneath me, I know that God will pick me up and take me to a high place.

The beauty of God surpasses the human eye.
God sees what we can’t see.

He sits up high and looks down low.
Nothing escapes His eyes.

What’s done in the dark will eventually come to the light.
The colors of this world can’t compare with the colors of God’s kingdom.
God created colors that are so profound, that the human eye can’t behold them.

Close your eyes and Imagine colors of purple intermingled with lights shades of pinks and blues, maroons to lilac all created in one perfect mass of perfection.

Truly what can this world do to me?

I have the peace of God.

No mater where I go God has gone before me to prepare the way.
If it’s His will, I will live to see another day.

I cast myself into His hand.

I’m not afraid of the material circumstances of this world.
I know my faith in God will sustain me.
I know that His peace will keep me.

God is the air that I breathe and the breath that I take in.
I can’t do anything without Him.
With Him I can do all things.

God created the mountains from the hills to the valleys.
He created the ocean with no depth.

He created us in His image

God with all His love said “I will allow man to make their own choices; All I ask is that they don’t put anything before me.”

Yet man grew and became wise.
Some began to say there was no God.
Some even believe that they are God.
Others made their own God.

Yet, God still loves us.

God still allows us to rest in Him; He gives us perfect peace.
Of course, the choice is ours.
God doesn’t force Himself on us.
I choose God.

I would rather have the peace of God than anything else in this world. I thank God for His peace.  Do you feel His peace today? We would love to hear your comments.

Do You Believe? My Story of faith, trust and love.

Hello everyone,

I pray this blog finds you all in good cheer, courage and strength. I just returned from Louisiana visiting my family. It was so hot, but it was so good to be home, to see my eighty-eight year old mother who looks so good and is in wonderful health, praise God, my sister, nephew, brother and friends.  The local newspaper even published a nice article about my business/ministry and new book.  "Hope is Alive".

Don't forget to tune in tomorrow, Monday, August 9th to the Mother Love Radio Talk Show at www.latalkradio.com at 3:00 to hear us talk about my new book and how to survive a lay off  by faith.

Faith is the substance of all things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. (Hebrews 11:1) Do you believe?

For the majority of my life from what I can recall, I have used the word faith. I told people over and over again, I believe that all things are possible. After all, that is what God’s word says, but you know its one thing to say it and another thing to actually believe it. Do you follow me? Many say they have faith, yet when the test, the trials and the tribulations come, how do they handle them? How do you handle them? It’s easy to have faith when everything is going well, kind of like having trust. Let’s face it; life is full of ups and downs.
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; (Romans 5:3)

God didn’t say there wouldn’t be trials, tests or tribulations. His word says there will be tribulation, but we are to glory in them. Many would ask how in the world “do you have glory in the midst of a tribulation?” The word says that tribulations worketh patience. It goes on to say that patience worketh experience, and experience, hope. And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. (Romans 5:4-5)

God loved us so much that He gave His son for us.  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16).

We are called to love God; Many people say they love God. However, if we truly love God, it will be evident in our walk with God. To have faith is to believe that God is who He says He is.

For example, I am truly living by faith right now. Either I believe that God is who He says He is or I don’t. It’s up to me. God will not make me believe. Now I can choose to say I believe and that I have faith which is what I have been saying for the majority of my life. However, when it comes down to the nuts and bolts do I really believe that God is who says He is?

I am a single mom of three wonderful sons that are 14, 17, and 19 years of age. They are all over 6’4 feet tall with the oldest son standing at 6’7. I say this to make a point. They eat a lot. My 19 year old doesn’t live with me anymore but praise God is doing well. I am blessed because great is the peace of my children. Praise God.

Not only am I a single mom, but for the first time in twenty-five years, I am unemployed due to a lay off. That’s right I don’t have a corporate job anymore. I have had husbands leave me in the past, but I have always had employment. God is good.

I believe that God will take care of me and my sons. He always has. The job was not my source. God is my source. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. My natural eye (circumstances) say panic, what are you going to do? You have bills. One of your sons is in his senior year of high school, plays football, on the volleyball team, and gets good grades, a great kid that deserves good things. What are you going to do? The mortgage Company didn’t want to work with me before I lost my job because I was current on my mortgage. What are you going to do now that you don’t have employment? The bills didn’t stop, as a matter of fact some of them increased, what will you do? What about health insurance, dental insurance? What will you do?

I share this with anyone that is reading this blog today to say to you these are the circumstances that face me and my family today? A month ago I was employed with a decent income, A-1 credit, health benefits and paying the bills on time. It’s amazing how things can change in an instance. I consider myself to be a woman of faith, a woman of God. Many in the Christian world might say, well what did she do? Remember, God didn’t say that tribulations wouldn’t come. He said we are to glory in tribulations. God will get the glory in every circumstance of our lives, if we lean not to our understanding and let Him direct our path. (Proverbs 3:6). Let His will be done, not mine.

Am I a woman of faith or not? I trusted God when the bills were being paid, the mortgage was on time, and the health benefits were good. Boy, did I have faith.

Do I still have faith in the midst of my current circumstances? Do I truly believe that God is who He says He is? Do I believe His word, which says it is a sin to worry, for he takes care of the lilies of the field? What more will he not do for me?

And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. (Matthew 6: 28-34).

I do believe that God is who He says He is. I believe that His word is true. I have faith in the midst of my circumstances. I look to the unseen and not at the things I see. If I choose to look at my circumstances right now, I would probably say forget it. I choose to look at God. I believe that God will not fail me nor will He fail anyone that believes in Him. It’s the choice that I choose to make.

Don’t get me wrong, I do have my moments. After all, I am human. However, when I feel one of those moments coming on, I get in the face of God. I fall on my knees and began to thank Him for who He is. He is the author and finisher of my faith. He is the author and finisher of our faith, if we choose to let Him in. I know I can’t do this without Him. I need God. That’s my choice. I choose to believe that He is who He says He is. I choose to stand on His word in the midst of what my circumstances say. I choose to look at the unseen and not at what I see. I choose God. My hope is in God. My trust is in God. My faith is in God. My obedience is to God.

I know that God will not fail me. His word tells me this. God will never leave nor forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5).

Know that it's true

Sign of the Times

Recession
Depression
Economic Times
Don’t have a dime
Lost your job

Don’t know what to do
Pick up God’s Word
And know that it’s true

God’s word won’t return void
He will do what He said He would do

Now it’s up to you to look to the hills from whence cometh your help
Your Help cometh from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth
He is the same God today as He was yesterday

God is God in times of feast and famine
God will always be God

With God all things are possible
If He be for you, who can be against you

Stop worrying about your land
Put your trust in the Master’s Hand

It is sin to worry
God said in His Word that He takes care of the lilies of the field
And the birds of the air
What more will He do for you

Whose report are you going to believe this day
The media states the world has gone astray

Destruction, reduction, devastation, famine, plagues, murders, robbery,
Poverty, greed, fear, mass hysteria; surely these are the last days

Who has believed our Report
The report of the Lord

God sent His only begotten son, that whomever believes in Him,
Would not perish but have everlasting life

The victory is ours.
The battle was won when Jesus took the Cross
Why are you standing around looking so lost

Was His pain in Vain

God is worthy to be praised
God doesn’t close one door without opening another one

God supplies all our needs according to His riches in Glory; in His
House there is no lack, for He shall abundantly supply.

The righteous will never be forsaken nor their seed begging bread
So whose report are you going to believe

God’s word is not a story
He shall get the glory

Worship God with all your Heart in everything that you do
He alone is worthy to be praised

There is someone watching you, "children of God" looking to see just what
Will you do

So you better know that God’s word is true

Do you love God?

It’s so easy to say we trust God when everything is going right in our lives, but what happens when things take a turn for the worst?

Do we still trust Him? Do we obey God when He tells us to do something that would seem to go against what we see in our natural circumstances?

What is trust? Webster defines trust as faith, belief, hope, conviction, confidence, expectation, reliance, and dependence.

The Bible says Let not your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust in me also. (John 14:1). Thou will keep him in perfect peace; whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength. (Isaiah 26:3-4).

The Bible Dictionary defines trust as *Faith.

What is Faith? Webster defines faith as confidence, trust, reliance, assurance, conviction, belief, devotion, loyalty, faithfulness, commitment, dedication.

The Bible says Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By Faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. (Hebrews 11: 1-3). But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6).

What is Love? Webster defines love as feel affection for, adore, worship, be love with, be devoted to, care for, find irresistible, be keen on, be fond of.

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. (1 John 4: 7-9).

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. (1 John 4: 18-19).

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16).

What is obedience? Webster defines obedience as compliance, agreement, submission, respect, duty, deference, conformity.

Not everyone who says to me, Master, Master, will enter the Kingdom of the Heavens, but only those who are obedient to my Father who is in Heaven. (Matthew 7:21). And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. (I Sam 15:22).

If trust means faith and faith means trust and we say we love God, than what does obedience mean to you? Do you obey God?

Shouldn’t we obey God, if we love Him? Is obedience a part of love?

Do you trust God today? How do you handle circumstances when they seem difficult? Do you look at your circumstances and become afraid of what you see? Do you tell God that you trust Him, yet worry about tomorrow, about your future or do you trust God to take care of your tomorrow and future?

God tells us in Jeremiah 29:12 “The thoughts that God have for us are not of evil but of peace so that we will know that there is hope in a future”.

The question I ask today “Is Do we believe God and His word? If your answer is yes, what are you doing to demonstrate your belief? What is your testimony?

How do you handle your circumstances when everything is going good? Do you praise God in the midst of your circumstances, no matter what, whether they are good or bad?

I can honestly tell you I have had my share of ups and downs in life. I can also honestly tell you that God has always been there. His word is true. It’s has always been up to me to believe His word. God was faithful to give me His word and give me instructions on how to handle difficult situations as they arise in my life. God has never demanded that I follow Him or His word. He simply said, I love you my child which is evident by my son Jesus Christ. It has always been my decision to choose whether or not to believe His word. My choice is to believe Him at all cost. I know that He won’t fail me.

Ask yourselves these questions today. Do you love God? If the answer is yes, do you trust God? If the answer is yes, do you have faith? If the answer is yes, do you obey God? If the answer is yes, do you pay tithes? Do you honor God in all areas of your life? Is there any fear in your life that would hinder you from being obedient?

There is no wrong or right answer. God doesn’t judge us. He loves us unconditionally. God desires a relationship with all of His children. He desires for us to be honest with ourselves and with Him. By doing, so He can take us into a deeper understanding of who He is. God isn’t complicated. He loves, He forgives, He redeems, He delivers, He saves and He grants us everlasting life.

All we need to do is go to Him and He will answer. If the answer was no to any of those questions, simply tell God, you want to have a relationship with Him and than establish one. God will do the rest. God’s word will not return void.

Take this time to ask God to search your hearts. Ask Him to remove any unclean images or faults that would keep you from serving Him. Psalms 139: 23-24 says “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. We need God. The good news is that we have Him.

I talk about how God tells us to bring Him in remembrance of His word in my book titled “Hope is Alive” which is available for purchase at http://www.anointedgifts.net/. It’s so important for us to know that God is everything. He will see us through any difficult situation in our lives if we trust Him. We need faith. Without faith nothing happens. Love is the greatest gift to all mankind and through obedience, the blessings of God come.

So remember, if you love God, obey Him, Trust Him and keep the faith. Pray for His will in your life. Lean to His understanding and not your own. Allow Him to direct your path. (Proverbs 3:6).

I was laid off of my job in corporate America a few weeks ago. I can honestly tell you that I have perfect peace. For the first time in my life, I am not worried about a thing. I know that God has me and my family. My trust, my hope and my faith are in God. I am standing on His word and I know without a doubt that He has us. I am not where I should be, but I praise God I’m not where I use to be. Praise God that He is always faithful even when we aren’t. I know that I have the greatest love of a lifetime. To God be the Glory.

I am available for prayer if needed and can be reached through my website @ www.anointedgifts.net. Feel free to leave me your email information on my sign up form or call me if you desire. Leave me a message if you get my voicemail and I will return the phone call.

My desire is that everyone understands that Jesus loves us. We can help each other get to where we need to go. It takes everyone working together to overcome the difficulties of this world. We need love to do that. Thank God, He sent His son Jesus to show us the way.

Oil spill on the Gulf Coast ~ Humanity or Insanity ~

I shall bless the Lord at all times from the depths of my soul, I shall continue to bless His Holy Name

Where can I go and the Lord not be found
With Him I am continually on solid ground
Thou my ship may seem to be sinking
The Lord keeps me from blinking
Away into a land of sorrow
Only He knows about tomorrow

My hands are uplifted to Him in Praise
To say thank you for giving me a raise

It’s not just Talk
It is by faith that I walk
Knowing that God never fails
His word is not frail
God will do what He said He would Do
His will is forever true
Let His will be done, not mine
I pray this day for all man kind

Oil Spills, pollution, plagues, devastation
What will it take for man to reach beyond this aggravation

Call upon the Lord why He may still be found
He will forgive our sins and repair a sinking ground
It is time to lend a helping hand to those in need
What a blessing indeed

God’s love is without compromise
It’s not a surprise
He said in His word that He sent His only Son
For the world to see that His love is real
Jesus is the truth, the way and the life
What greater love is there, than for a man to lie down His life

It’s time for mankind to rise above
Not only in deeds, but in love.
Love can reach down into a bottomless pit of emptiness restoring what was loss to touch the heart of mankind to say, YES we can

Across the continent where hope lives and faith resides
All things are possible, if we believe

The beautiful birds fight for their lives
While we wait to see if the wet lands will survive

Is this Humanity or Insanity

Humanity says YES we can
Insanity says no we can’t

With God all things are possible.  (Matthew 19:26)

Do you believe that we can make a difference?

Jesus said, Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes “I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My father on His throne.”
Revelation 3:20.

Is someone knocking at your door today? Will you open your door?

I pray many blessings for the people who are on the gulf coast washing birds, turtles and other beautiful creations. Their circumstances are unknown to the world, yet they took a stance to do something wonderful. They are pouring out love across the continent. They are making a difference.

I am also looking for people who want to share testomonies of how wonderful God is.  Tune to http://www.youtube.com/  search Dale Birdsong and look for my video titled " Encouragement for the Times ~ The Over Comers .

We can make a difference in this world.  It's time to uplift the name of Jesus.  The world needs Him.

The world system is failing.  Jobs, people, unemployment, the stock market aren't promised.  God's word does not fail.  Hope is Alive in God's word.  God will never leave nor forsake us.  God's word will not return back void.  Isaiah 55:11.

Check out my new book "Hope Is Alive."   It reminds us that our hope has to be in God and not in the things of this world.  It will inspire and encourage you to believe.

Bless the Lord

Bless the Lord.

I shall bless the Lord at all times. His praises shall continually go forth out of my mouth. I shall bless Him in times of feast and in times of famine knowing that my household will not lack for He does abundantly supply all of our needs according to His riches in Glory. In whom shall I fear? The Lord our God is our comfort, our provider, our protection. He is the way in the middle of no way. In whom, shall I trust. I shall trust our God. I know that His word will not return void. God is a God of His word. He will do what He said He will do. As I look to the Hills from whence cometh my help, my help cometh from the Lord. I shall praise the Lord our God in good times and in bad times. I shall praise Him just because He is God. He doesn’t have to perform for me to praise Him. I praise Him because of who He is. I thank our God for His goodness, mercy and Grace. He is longsuffering for our sakes. How long will His hand continue to pour out mercy and Grace to an ungrateful nation? Our God is longsuffering.  God is our Hope.

God says, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Won’t you pray with me today? God says repent. The time to repent is now. How long will He remain longsuffering for our sakes? He loves us unconditionally. He doesn’t condemn us. He says choose whom you will serve this day? Will you serve me this day? Who do you choose this day?

War is Hell ~ Pray for our Soldiers ~

As we get ready to celebrate July 4th, let’s not forget to pray for all the wonderful men and women who are fighting for our country. There isn't anything beautiful about war.  Please keep their families and love ones in prayer as well.

Jesus Christ gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Listed below is one of my poems titled "War is Hell." When the Holy Spirit gave me this poem a few years ago, the tears streamed down my face. We are so blessed. Let's not take our blessings for granted. If you are fortunate enough to have your family members home or away at college, etc., praise God. However, there are many of our fellow country men and women whose families are away fighting a war. We need to remember them in our prayers. Prayer is the only thing that changes anything. God hears our prayers.

WAR IS HELL!

As I write this poem, a man is giving his life.
As I write this poem, a woman is in labor giving birth to a child wishing her husband was there to share in the gift of this new life.

As I write these words, a husband is in a trench, thinking about his wife who
is giving birth, not knowing the hour, nor time of the arrival of the life he helped create.

He is in a war fighting for our country, so we can continue with our freedom,

One such freedom, writing.

Yet his wife, who needs him ever so much
Can only think about his yesterday touch.

As the baby comes out of her womb into this new world with a little spank, his eyes open.

He lets out a little cry, as he is laid on his mother’s bosom.

His Father let’s out a sigh, as his spirit feels a new life arrive;
A life that he may or may not see.

He takes out a picture of his wife,
As a road bomb takes another life.

With tears of sadness in his eyes the picture falls from his hands covered by the ashes.

Never will this newborn child see his daddy’s face.

He will only have the stories that his mother will tell.

WAR IS HELL!

Many are the lives given as we continue with our parties and plays.

No man knows the time or the hour.

We need to be ready.

The day is coming, when the ONE LIFE GIVEN will return.

JESUS!

WILL YOU BE READY?

Talk is Cheap; It's your walk that is deep.

How are you today? Are you ready for a new week? I pray that you will have a blessed week.   I wrote a new poem titled Talk is Cheap; it’s your walk that is deep. It will be out shortly.

I was blessed with the opportunity to be the MC for a retirement party of someone who is very dear to me over the weekend. Her name is Frances. She is a woman of integrity, perseverance, kindness and faith. Those are only a few of her many characteristics. There were so many wonderful and kind words that were said about Frances. It was an honor to be part of such a beautiful occasion.

What I love about Frances is that she not only talks the talk, but she walks the walk.

You see talk is cheap. It’s your walk that is deep. People can talk all they want; however, in the end what did their actions say? Talk is cheap. It’s your walk that is deep.

I met Frances many years ago when we attended the same church. We worked in the Children ministry together. You can get to know someone pretty well when you work with children.  I was always touched by Frances willingness to serve and help others. Over the years she has given so much of her time and love to help others. As one person said yesterday at her retirement party, she is a seed sower.

Frances is a woman of faith. Over the years, I saw Frances go through many challenges trusting God without wavering in her faith. I saw her work as a crossing guard in which she helped many children cross back and forth across the busy intersection that isn’t far from my home. There were many mornings that she didn’t see me, but I saw her. She always had a smile on her face. A passing stranger would have no idea of what she was going through or the pain that she might have been in at that particular moment. As I passed by, I would shoot up a prayer to God, asking Him to take care of Her. God is faithful and always did.

Frances knows how to hold on to God when she faces challenges in her life; she constantly gives Him praise. I can’t ever recall a time when I heard her say an unkind word about anyone or anything. She always said that Rome wasn’t built in a day and that God always makes a way. Not only is Frances a woman of faith, but she also taught her children how to have a relationship with Him.

How do you handle the storms in your life? If you are one of those people who have been fortunate enough not to have any storms, praise God. You are truly a blessed person. However, for the majority of us, storms do arise in our lives from time to time. Once again, it’s goes back to talk is cheap. It’s our walk that is deep. Frances has weathered many storms in her life with the Lord as her guide. She trusted Him to calm the seas in her life.

And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. (Matthew 8:24-26).

How do you handle the rough seas in your life?

Without faith it is impossible to please God. God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6).

It’s not always easy to see beyond your circumstances. The doctor gives you a bad report, you bank account is empty, the bills need to be paid, you lost your job, you have money, but not enough and the list goes on and on. These are only a few of many things that could happen in our day to day lives. Let’s not forget about those who just like drama, because it’s that kind of a day.  Do you know anyone like that? If so, tell them about Jesus.

I remember like yesterday, when my bank account was robbed, my husband left me, I was pregnant and I had holes in my shoes. I must tell you, in the natural sense, I felt awful bad. I am so thankful that I had a relationship with the Lord. He directed my path to another dear friend of mine by the name of Thelma who recently turned eighty-five. At that time she was 68 and I must tell you she has not aged one bit. She still looks the same. Anyway, my dear Thelma who is also known as Grammy knew that something was wrong. She began to sing a song titled “He will see you through the storm.” God used that song to remind me of who I was, but most of all who He was. When I left her house, I called upon the Lord and asked Him “what was a single mom to do?” He whispered trust me. He told me to honor Him with my tithes and offerings. Now, I have to tell you, my bank account had just been robbed, but never the less I was obedient to what God told me to do. God told me He would open up the doors of heaven and pour out blessings that I couldn’t contain and that He would rebuke the devourer for my sake.

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. (Malachi 3:10-11)..

God was true to what He said. That was seventeen years ago. God is a faithful God. Over the years He has blessed me with excellent health, healthy children, and excellent schools for my children and now praises to God, college scholarships for my children, good friends, wonderful family, unspeakable joy, peace, His favor, promotions, business opportunities and most of all a wonderful relationship with Him. I couldn’t ask for anything more. The tithe was about trust. God wanted to see if I would trust Him.

I can’t say life is always easy but I can say with God all things are possible and He always makes a way. I believe, just as Frances believes that God is who He says He is. His word does not return back void. He will do what He said He would do. All it takes is a willingness to trust, obey and have faith to know that God is real. He is not complicated.

What are you in need of today? God is waiting to hear from you.

Don’t let your talk be cheap. Let your walk be deep. Someone is watching you looking to see what will you do? Trust Him. You will be glad you did. At least, I know I am.

Do you need prayer today? If so, please feel free to send me a comment. Let me know if you want it posted or not.  Remember that you are loved because Jesus loved you first.

God bless you and have a wonderful week.
